Oh look, its alive!

Hail to thee, followers of the flap!

First off, let me begin by giving a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has helped support us through the last book.  With everything going on in the real world, it was definitely a challenge balancing the editing and correcting and prodding the author with a giant stick to break his mid-autumn slumber against finding somewhere to live and store everything I own on extremely short notice.  Needless to say, the last few weeks have been hectic.

That said, everything should be back up and running in short order.  I’ll begin rolling out the rest of The Merchant of Tiqpa in short order.

We’ve already starting tossing around a few ideas for the next book, and I know that we’re eager to get started on it as soon as possible.  As with every book, there’s always a planning period and learning curve that we have to tackle.  We have to sit down and ask ourselves: What did we do well?  What did we miss on?  How can we avoid some of the mistakes we made before?  Is Charles finally going to let me kill Valerie?  What did our readers enjoy?  What worked and what didn’t?

We’re always looking to improve upon our work and make it the best we possibly can.  As always, any and all feedback is welcomed and encouraged.  There are several people within the community that have gone out of their way to offer their critiques and assistance, and their help is immeasurable.  So, thank you again to everyone.

I’ve got a ton of work today straightening out some things on the site that are bugging my OCD, so look forward to some basic housekeeping in the upcoming days along with a steady update process.

If you haven’t already, waddle on over to Amazon and check out The Merchant of Tiqpa.  There’s a fat section of bonus content explaining some of Eliza’s background and developing that character a bit, as well as some insight into perhaps why she acts the way she does.  There were also some fairly significant changes through the first half of the book that helped build up Locke’s character a bit as well.

All in all, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did writing it, and encourage everyone to leave us feedback either here for via Amazon.

Edit:

The Merchant of Tiqpa has been updated and revised on the website. Chapters have been re-posted and sorted to be analogous with those in the published version (ie: I posted the published version and I’m sure I’ll catch crap for it later once Charles figures out what I’ve done.)

1,000 word update added to the end of Chapter 8 where we left off to get things started.
