Thank me later

I have finally convinced the benevolent Mr. Dean to relinquish his stranglehold on the material for the new book. As such, I will now be posting double the release of material as we have been thus far (upping the posted daily word count from 500 to 1000 words). I hope this encourages our author to focus and work harder. I also hope this encourages you guys (hello reader) to comment more frequently. Remember: We thrive on your feedback.

In order to kick it off, I am retroactively beginning this with yesterday’s material. Enjoy =)

Update & Feedback

I thought Id take the time to throw out a post since we seem to be lacking in the update department. We’re continuing work on the new project, and it seems moving a nice pace so far. For once, I’m happy to say that we are finally ahead of the daily posts that are going. I’m hoping that we will be able to release this as a shorter feature, and complete it, sometime within the next month and a half. Its an absurd pace compared to what we’ve done in the past, but if we can keep up the speed we’re currently working at, it should be more than possible to achieve.

As for the new website and layout, it may still undergo a few changes, but we’ve hit a bit of a standstill. We seem to be lacking in the graphics department, and that will certainly have to change in the future. I have hopes of at least getting a title banner and a side-bar navigation. There are certain limitations to WordPress that we weren’t aware of, and as of yet, I’ve been unable to overcome the stylistic limitations of working with someone else’s template and layout. Almost all of the old information has been back-loaded, and we will continue rolling out a chapter per day until the old series are hosted here. I hope that we’ve at least picked up some new (and hopefully old) readers that were unable to finish the series on the old site.

For anyone following the new story, I think we’re far enough in to start asking a few questions: How are you liking it? Is the direction we’re taking it obvious yet? Is it lacking in some area? We’ve talked a lot about what we want to do, and what we want to achieve, but some of those wont be fleshed out until the final version is polished out. We seemed to have agreed, for example, that it needs a stronger hook in the beginning and possibly a prologue to help set things up. The biggest question for now, however: Is it enjoyable? Do you want to keep coming back for more? We’ve been a bit concerned about the 500-odd words per day roll out as well. Was easier to read when we were releasing block sections on TBK on a weekly, rather than daily, basis?

Give us some feedback!

Did you guys think we’d never make a post? Okay, so here’s the update. You all will still be getting daily releases from the new series (I’m talking to one of the editors about possibly doing a large dump of chapter 1 just to get it moving), but we’re also working on a TBK 4

We’d like some weigh in on that. What are you all looking for from the new series? If we did new MC instead of Darwin, would that be too upsetting?

Ahead of Schedule

So, I’ve just updated the “New Projects” section, but I’m not seeing love =(

How about this, we may release a bonus section (250 to 500 extra words) on Sunday if we can get active discussions going on the new work. I know it’s too early to start, but I’m looking forward to it. See you guys more in the future!

[Ps. Let me know how the anchor tags work. You can check by the end of each day, Midnight EST, to see a day’s post. Some will come early, some will come late. They will all make it.]

Great News!

We’re starting the new book rollout, and picking back up some of the old book rollouts. Expect at least a 500 word a day for the next 365 days upload.

If demand exists, we’ll start working towards doing a Patreon system that will let people opt out of the wait/ amazon book buying craze to read the latest up to date versions of our works no the site itself. [Maybe a, for 1k a month we’ll do 750 words/ daily, for 2k a month we’ll do 1k words daily, cetera bonus too. We’ll have to see.] {Ps. Note, this 500 words may come late every once in a while, but that isn’t because the material isn’t there. It’s simply because my internet hasn’t been reliable at all lately. Please forgive if it’s down when I’m trying to do an update, you’ll just get them slammed in on the next day. That said, it’s good today! So let’s go for it!}

Anyways, thanks for keeping up to date (the new posts will be in by midnight each night).

Also, I’ve been playing around with “non comment” ways for chatting. Would you guys want to see a discord/ chatango?

Welcome to the new site!

So, we’ve been talking about it for months, years? I know it hasn’t been years since we haven’t even had the site up for over a year, but we have been talking about updating the site and making it proper for a while. With TBK 3 coming to a close (only editing/ book cover generating and one final epilogue to be done), we decided to finally bite the bullet and get a proper site. The reason we went with instead of something more bathroby or spoonish is that I plan to write books one day outside of the Tiqpa world. Tiqpa has been fun, don’t get me wrong, but I want to explore new ideas and worlds with you, worlds you will all hopefully have a part in helping me brainstorm (your feedback has always been a huge part of the Tiqpa writing experience).

So, to start this off right (with lots of user feedback), go ahead and let me know how I can better improve this site and make it easier to use. Thanks again for always being great readers!

Ps. AnonTBK is still around, but don’t call him over. I want to take a break from work eventually.
